Rolling down the highways, watching the usually dull scenery go by, you might never guess that there are interesting places to explore not that far from the interstate. For some people, being a hiker means doing the Appalachian Trail, preferably all the way through. But there are a lot of other trails, many just as scenic, within an hour or two or a day’s drive of our area.
The Alzheimer’s Association hosts a support group, led by an Alzheimer's Association-trained leader for caregivers on the fourth Mondays at England Run Branch. The support group is a safe place to learn, receive helpful tips, connect with resources, and meet others impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. The group meets from 10:00-11:30.

On June 10, 2017, 10th Annual GO Day, or National Get Outdoors Day, will be celebrated around the nation within national parks, large cities, and small towns. Hiking is a popular activity many share during GO Day.
