About This Branch
The Salem Church Branch of the Central Rappahannock Regional Library is located in rapidly growing Spotsylvania County, Virginia. The branch is a 26,000 square foot building originally constructed in 1993-94, opening to the public on September 19. The building was renovated and expanded in 2008-2009, re-opening on March 3, 2009. Salem Church has a collection of 80,000 items and provides regularly scheduled classes and events for all ages, 50 public-access computers, a quiet study area, a 140-seat theater, and meeting rooms. Each month, local artists display their work in the Atrium. The building is accessible with a ground level entrance and has five accessible parking spaces in the lot.
Directions & Map
From I-95:
- Exit Interstate 95 at Exit 130 B onto Route 3 west.
- Follow Route 3 west for 1.2 miles. You will pass 5 stoplights (you will see Spotsylvania Towne Centre on the left and then BJs on the right). The sixth light is Salem Church Road. Turn left on to Salem Church Road.
- Follow Salem Church Road for about a mile (0.8 miles). You will reach a stoplight at Salem Run Road.
- Drive through this light and you will see the Salem Church Branch almost directly on your left.

Branch Facilities
Computers:
50 public-access computers, including 8 children's and 7 young adult computers.
OurSpace: A wireless computer space for middle and high schoolers in grades 6-12, Monday-Thursday, 3:30-8:00.
Wireless: All branches have wireless Internet access.
Meeting Rooms: 140-seat theater, which can be partitioned to make two rooms, and one medium-size meeting room that can be partitioned to make two small meeting rooms. Make reservations in advance.
Collection Size: 80,000
Exhibits: Atrium features monthly art exhibits of local artists.
Notary Public: On duty during most branch hours, but call ahead to be certain authorized staff is available. See more here.
